It was the bottom of the ninth, with two outs and the bases loaded and the game was tied, it was definitely crunch time. I stared back at the pitcher trying to intimidate him but that was challenging, considering the fact that he was 6’ 2” and probably over 150 pounds. And I’m 4’ 8” and 81 pounds. I bet you he’s not even 12. I took a deep breath and got ready for the pitcher to deliver the first pitch of the count. My name is Honus Stevenson and I have a dream of being a Major League Baseball Player.I crushed the ball into the outfield past the Center-Fielder.The pitcher slammed down his glove in disgust. My teammates were so excited and crazy. We had won our game, but just barely.
I looked up into the bleachers to see if my parents were there, but I didn’t see them, so I knew they were probably at the hospital with my brother. My brother Stuart has a strange and unknown disease that the doctor's aren’t sure how to treat. He's only nine and he has a spunky attitude and is always ready to play. Learning that Stuart could die was a big blow for my family. We missed seeing that contagious smile and that happy attitude. My parents, right now, are more concerned with him than me, but i'm not going to complain about that. We are all nervous about my brother because the doctor isn’t sure how long Stuart can live without treatment. I love my Mom and Dad, but sometimes they are preoccupied with Stuart that they forget about me. One time they left me at the baseball field after one of my baseball practices. I stood in the pouring rain for a few hours until they came. After my game (we won) I was driven to The Ice-Cream- Palace where my team and I celebrated our hard-earned victory. It's hard to celebrate when your brother has an unknown disease and has a good chance of dying. I waited for my parents to come and pick me up from the Ice Cream Palace but they never came. I was driven home by my friends parents. My Mom sat at the Dining Table with an emotionless look in her eyes. I walked over to her to try to cheer her up. "So what's going on mom," I asked her. She took a while to respond.

"Honey, I have to tell you something, the doctors informed us we are going to have to move to a foreign country for treatment for Stuart’s disease.” “Which Country,” I asked her. “ Indonesia,” she replied back. “In-do-what?" I asked. “In-do-ne-sia.” I stopped, I couldn't beleive it , I wasn't happy about it but if I wanted my brother back to being my energetic friend we would have to go to Indonesia."Do people in Indonesia even play baseball," I wondered. My mom looked back at me, waiting for a response. Well, when are we going to Indonesia?” I asked her quietly. “Today"
